Description: Participants vill learn a model of understanding, preventing and treating interpersonal violence.
Stefan Sandström will teach :
- An overview of the origins of violence in a workplace, and how to plan it for violence-prevention.
- Why people become aggressive and how to prevent violence.
- Five patterns that underlie all violent behaviours, and how they can be dealt with.
Joanna Beazley Richards will explore the underlying neurological differences that results from negative life events and the associated emotional and behavioural patterns. The implications for treatment and why particular interventions such as mindfulness are effective with these clients will be explained.
The workshop will be based on the relevant research.

The workshop leaders:
Joanna Beazley Richards is a Chartered Psychologist, HPC registerd Clinical psychologist and Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst. She specializes in trauma and crime.
Stefan Sandström is a licensed Psychologist, a Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst with Psychotherapy speciality, and an author of several books on interpersonal violence. He has taught violence prevention for 25 years. He is the co-founder of the Scandinavian Institute for Transactional Analysis.
